Cancellation policy

Clear cancellation rules before you book.

Plans change. Weather changes. Pickup details change. Our policy keeps bookings flexible while protecting the local teams who prepare vehicles, guides, horses, camps, and pickup routes.

Main policy

Free cancellation

Most standard tours can be cancelled for free up to 24 hours before the confirmed pickup time. The tour page and booking confirmation show the cancellation window for your selected ride.

Online refunds

Eligible online payments are refunded through the same original payment method. Card refunds are handled through Stripe, and PayPal refunds are handled through PayPal.

Refund timing

After a refund is approved and processed, it can take up to 30 days to appear in your account depending on your bank, card issuer, PayPal, Stripe, country, and currency route.

Pay on arrival

If you reserved with pay-on-arrival and no online payment was collected, there is usually no money to refund. We can still cancel or reschedule the booking under the normal rules.

When you can cancel for free

Standard Egypt Safari tours usually include free cancellation up to 24 hours before the confirmed pickup time. This includes most quad bike safari, buggy, camel, horse riding, jeep, and combined desert trips listed on the website.

Private tours, large group bookings, custom itineraries, special camp setups, and limited-capacity supplier bookings can have a different cancellation window. If a different rule applies, we show it before booking or confirm it with you before collecting payment.

Late cancellation, no-show, and pickup delays

A cancellation made after the free cancellation window may be non-refundable if the supplier has already reserved vehicles, horses, guides, food, permits, or pickup capacity for your group.

If a guest does not arrive at the confirmed pickup point on time, enters the wrong hotel, cannot be reached on the provided phone number, or chooses not to join after the guide arrives, the booking can be treated as a no-show. No-show bookings are usually not refundable.

If our team or the supplier causes a serious pickup issue that prevents the trip from running, we will help with a fair solution: reschedule, alternative experience, credit, or eligible refund.

Weather, safety, and operator changes

Desert routes can be affected by wind, visibility, police route control, equipment checks, horse condition, guide availability, or other safety factors. Safety comes first.

If a tour cannot run safely, Egypt Safari will work with the supplier to offer a new time, a new date, a similar route, or an eligible refund when no reasonable alternative is available.

Refund method and timing

Online card payments are processed by Stripe. PayPal payments are processed by PayPal. Egypt Safari does not store full card numbers, CVV codes, or private PayPal login details.

Approved refunds are sent back through the original payment method. Once the refund has been initiated, Stripe, PayPal, the card network, and your bank control the final settlement timing. The refund may appear sooner, but it can take up to 30 days.

Currency conversion, bank fees, or payment provider fees may affect the final amount shown by your bank. Egypt Safari cannot control third-party bank conversion rates.
